Baltimore is the biggest city in the state of Maryland. It was founded by the Constitution of Maryland, and is an independent city, which does not hold allegiance to any county. Baltimore has the distinction of being the biggest independent city in the US. It is as well the 2nd biggest seaport in the Mid Atlantic area, and its Inner Harbor was formerly the 2nd leading US port of entry for immigrants. Baltimore’s rich historical heritage and the numerous attractions it boasts of have made it to be one of the leading tourist destinations in the United States. Walters Art Museum
